Studio TK Debuts New Jima Seating Collection

Jima expands Studio TK's soft, active-seating portfolio with a focus on conference settings

September 28, 2020

Studio TK today announced that, building on its partnership with Dutch furniture designer-manufacturer Artifort, it would be launching Patrick Norguet’s new Jima executive conference and collaborative seating in September 2020.

‘‘The design concept for Jima was inspired by the Artifort Kalm armchair. Adding a multi-functional set of chairs to this family opens up new possibilities,” said Patrick Norguet. “This expressive chair is the perfect match for public spaces. You could group several Jimas together in a restaurant, workplace, or conference room, lending the space a unique sense of style.”

“Jima expands Studio TK's current soft active seating portfolio with a focus on conference and collaborative settings,” said Charlie Bell, President, Studio TK. “Light-scale and agile, this upholstered chair collection allows for casual collaboration and private conference spaces around tables. Simply put, Jima is a comfortable chair with clean lines.”

Offered in mid- and high-back versions, Jima is a sleek, expressive chair that fits seamlessly into different worlds – home or office. Particularly noteworthy is the single, flowing line running from the top of the back, via the arms to the bottom of the seat. This makes it appear as if the seat cushion is locked in an embrace, providing ergonomic perfection and maximum comfort.

Jima is available in three versions: a steel 4-legged base, an elegant swivel star-base, and a 5-legged height-adjustable swivel base with castors. The chair is offered in an extensive range of fabrics and colors, encouraging and accommodating any interior style.

Studio TK produces Jima and other Artifort products at its Clayton, North Carolina, facility, providing clients with shorter lead times and a U.S. shipment point.

In addition to Jima Executive Conference Seating, Studio TK is also launching this year: Sly Side, Occasional and Coffee Tables; Rec Worktables; Havn Occasional Tables; Clique Modular Bench enhancements; Vondom seating and tables; and additions to Beso Seating and Bevy Tables.
